Out of School  Program

 

Overview

 

JDG has partnered with the Department of Labor (DOL) in an effort to maximize the potential of Kent and Sussex County residents selected to participate in an exciting new program.

 

The objective of this FREE program is to enrich the employment and educational status of 16-21-year-olds by tailoring services to the needs of selected participants.

 

At absolutely no cost, participants receive job placement, career training, individual counseling and mentoring from a JDG Specialist certified to provide school-to-work transition training.

 

Why Participate?

 

Individuals earn rewards! When goals are met, participants earn incentives such as gasoline cards and gift certificates valued at $5 - $50.

 

 

Who is Eligible?

 

Kent/Sussex County residents who:

  • are High School Graduates
  • have earned a GED
  • are currently enrolled in an alternative school program, including Groves, DAPI, etc.
  • are not in a traditional school and have not been awarded a diploma or GED

 

Benefits
