Overview
JDG has partnered with the Department of Labor (DOL) in an effort to maximize the potential of Kent and Sussex County residents selected to participate in the Non-Traditional program.
 
The objective of this FREE opportunity is to enrich the employment and educational status of 16-21-year-olds by tailoring services to the needs of selected participants.
 
At absolutely no cost, participants receive job placement assistance, job attainment and advancement skills, individual counseling and mentoring from a JDG Career Placement Advisor who provides school-to-work transition training.

  • Learn effective job search and proper interviewing techniques
  • Receive support in achieving you education and employment goal

 

Kent/Sussex County residents who are 16 to 21 years of age and:

  • are in a non-traditional school and working towards a GED or high school diploma;  OR
  • have a high school diploma or GED and desire employability skills assistance: OR
  • are not in school but would like to earn a GED or high school diploma
    Why Participate?
 

Individuals earn rewards! When goals are met, participants earn incentives such as gasoline cards and gift certificates.
